One of the appliedAIstudio’s first clients had an enterprise architecture built up from multiple SaaS and PaaS COTS solutions. Each service did its job to varying degrees good, and while certain systems created frustrations for users, that wasn’t their real problem. Their problem was that their collection of COTS systems didn’t work together to support the overall business processes that made this company unique in their market.
When you use COTS systems, you have to conform your business processes to fit the requirements of the software. Or, you fight against the systems with offline human-powered interventions. Our client wanted to stop being a human bridge between COTS products. To do that, the appliedAIstudio designed a series of AI-driven microservices that mimicked the work people were doing to bridge systems.
